IDB/MIF Updates: First shipment of Miches' ginger to Merca Santo Domingo

Through our project 'Inclusion of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in the Sustainable Tourism Supply Chain in Miches', we support a group of thirty-two local producers involved in the cultivation of ginger in the municipality. After ten months of productive work, last week we sent our first shipment of ginger for commercialization in Santo Domingo’s Market.

Having received “eligibility” status from an IDB commission based in Washington, D.C., technical teams from Fundación Tropicalia and the FOMIN can get to work on designing the minute details of the project and present it for final approval before the year’s end.
