Grupo Bentrani and Fundación Tropicalia Work Together for the Future of Dominican girls

June 22, 2023, Santo Domingo - Grupo Bentrani, representative of Rolex, Cartier, Montblanc and Tudor in the Dominican Republic, has joined Fundación Tropicalia in a second charity event to support "Soy niña, soy importante" (I’m a girl, I’m important). This initiative of Fundación Tropicalia is aimed at promoting the healthy development of girls in Miches, Dominican Republic, and providing them with opportunities for a brighter future.

The event organized by Grupo Bentrani took place on June 22nd at the Larimar Restaurant, and sought to give greater visibility to the realities faced by girls living in vulnerable conditions, and the work of Fundación Tropicalia in its commitment to accompany the integral development of the girls of Miches. The main purpose of the event was to raise funds to support the activities of "Soy niña, soy importante", with a silent auction, and thanks to the sponsorship of Casa Brugal, La Bodega, Altri Tempi, Raquel Paiewonsky, Banreservas, Plaza Lama.

During the charity event, a fundraiser was held in collaboration with prominent personalities, where welcoming remarks were given by Mr. Ralphy Bensadon, President of Grupo Bentrani, followed by a presentation and words of appreciation from the Executive Director of “Soy niña, soy importante”, Katherine Duran. Additionally, Tatiana Peréz, a program beneficiary who is now in college, shared her experience of her growth within the initiative and how it impacted her life and the lives of other girls. Lastly, a fascinating monologue "Yamila tiene miedo" (Yamila is afraid) was performed by the outstanding Dominican actress Estefany Vasquez, who told the story of a girl named Yamila, a captivating character, full of courage and vulnerability.

Ralphy Bensadon, President of Grupo Bentrani, highlighted the importance of this collaboration: "We are thrilled to join Fundación Tropicalia in its admirable work to support Dominican girls. We strongly believe in equal opportunity and the transformative power of education. We hope that this charity event will be a success and contribute to the growth and development of the girls of Miches".

Furthermore, Sofia Perazzo, President of Fundación Tropicalia, expressed her gratitude for the participation of Grupo Bentrani: "We are very pleased to have the support of Grupo Bentrani in our mission to protect and empower Dominican girls. Their commitment drives us to continue to work hard to provide them with the tools and opportunities they need to reach their full potential".

Fundación Tropicalia's "Soy niña, soy importante" program, which has more than a decade of experience, has positively impacted the lives of thousands of girls in Miches. Through education, leadership and empowerment activities, the program seeks to protect the childhood of girls, encourage assertive decision-making and raise awareness of their rights.

The collaboration between Grupo Bentrani and Fundación Tropicalia reflects the shared commitment of both organizations in strengthening Dominican society and the well-being of girls.
