SANTIAGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – Fundación Tropicalia and Fundación Cisneros participated in the sixth annual Regional Forum on New Technologies for Virtual Educa Caribe, organized by FUNGLODE. The forum took place at the Universidad Abierta Para Adultos (UAPA), with the goal of gathering representatives from public and private sectors, as well as non-profit organizations, to present innovative practices, case studies, and exchange experiences in promoting the role of private companies in education for sustainable development. Fundación Cisneros directed introductory workshops from the Professional Development for Teachers Program (AME), while the Fundación Tropicalia presented themes on education and corporate social responsibility. Both foundations reinforced their unified goal in supporting education in the Dominican Republic.

Fundación Tropicalia, Banco Adopem and Adopem NGO formalized an agreement in order to promote sustainable development in the town of Miches (province of El Seibo) and surrounding communities.
