A celebration for 6 years of continued successful work

Every January, Fundación Tropicalia hosts a party to celebrate the previous year’s accomplishments of the School Renovation and Maintenance Program (PRyME). Since 2008, FT has worked with the Miches School District and the Ministry of Education, to bring the PRyME program to 12 schools in the area. This year, three schools were recognized for their outstanding leadership, empowerment and solidarity to better school management processes. Where Escuela Km. 6 was able to raise enough funds and harness volunteer work to undertake the construction of new classrooms, TV Centro La Gina made a 180 degree turn around in school management and administration, and Liceo Padre Daniel maintained its campus impeccably clean throughout the entire academic year.

This year we came together in the most iconic of places – The Beach – and created new memories with the most important figure in Miches – The Teachers.
