Enthusiastic Progress for SME’s in the Sustainable Tourism Supply Chain in Miches

During the month of April IDB/MIF representatives, as well as internal team members that oversee the execution of the project paid Miches a visit, to oversee the advances of our project, The Inclusion of Micro and Small Enterprises in the Sustainable Tourism Supply Chain in Miches. Both parties visited the three sites where Fundación Tropicalia plans to establish training centers, the Dairy, Cacao and Rice Associations, as well as passion fruit producers. Each one of these producers expresses much enthusiasm with regards to the project and is currently enrolled in the program.

The 36-month-long program seeks to strengthen the productive capacity (both in terms of quality and quantity) of the agricultural sector and support the growth of micro and small entrepreneurs by connecting them to local demand. By promoting agricultural diversification under an organic and best agricultural practices framework, the project will improve social, economic and environmental conditions for farmers and business operators in Miches.
