This month Fundación Tropicalia hosted specialized workshops for the associations of agricultural producers Juan Pablo Duarte and La Esperanza, two organizations working with Fundación Tropicalia and USAID/RED in the greenhouse initiative in Miches. These workshops, led by Maria Vólquez, the manager of the FONDESA offices in Miches, covered topics on running a greenhouse business and managing investments effectively. Now that the La Gina community has welcomed its newly constructed greenhouse, this is just one more step towards a sustainable agriculture sector in Miches.
