Fundación Tropicalia, under the scope of the USAID/REDDOM project, inaugurated Camp Miches Saludable, a one-week summer camp designed to educate children regarding healthy food choices, organic farming and exercise. Thirty eight campers ages 13-18, from the communities La Mina, La Gina and La Culebra, participated in workshops on health, hygiene, organic agriculture and healthy eating, among others. The camp culminated with a day of educational and recreational activities in Estancia La Querencia where campers engaged in a nature rally and water games.
