We’re most familiar with the cultural institution Artemiches as the host of Cultural Week, held every year in Miches towards the end of June, but it’s most recent initiative includes the transformation of 64 homes located alongside the town’s main entrance road. With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Fundación Tropicalia, neighbors and home owners came together to paint new facades on these abodes, decorating them with bright-colored murals that capture the Miches landscape made up of flowers, fishing, sunset and ocean themes. The objective of this initiative is to give visitors a colorful and descriptive welcome as they drive past homes turned into an art exposition.
